Viena (white)
- London system
- Normal moves
- d4 (queen pawn), Nf3, Bf4,
- then to help the pawn in the center, e3, c3
- Bd3, Nd2
- Main ideas are that both bishops and knights are well developed
- we can move the knight to Ne5
- What is the drawback from white perspective?
- pawn b2 is not protected (since we moved the bishop so early)
- black bishop can move freely, while white bishop has to remain
- You don’t have to start with d4, it’s a very flexible opening
- you can start with Nf3 and then d4
- Caro kann - black
- Danish gambit - White
- e4, e5
- d4, d4 (pawn in e5 capture d4)
- c3, c3 (pawn in d4 capture c3)
- Bc4, b2 (pawn captures on c3)
- Bb2
- We have 2 nice bishops although we lost 2 pawns

- A lot of traps
